Nemophila is an annual ornamental plant belonging to the phaceliaceae family. It is, among other things, related to phacelia. Grows under natural conditions in North America. Now it has spread to many countries around the world.
Grows up to 20 cm high. The stems are thick but fragile. The leaves are feathery, opposite in light green or greyish color. Delicate flowers with five petals up to 1 cm in diameter, purple, white or blue, sometimes with spots (bicolor). Blooms from June to August.
The flower is suitable for naturalistic flower beds, pots, balcony containers.
It grows better in sunny or partly sunny places. It is not recommended to plant them in the shade, because they will bloom very little. The soil is conductive, moderately moist, not soggy.
