An annual plant with shoots 2-3 m long, producing very interesting, light-spotted fruit with a bottle-shaped shape.
The slightly thicker neck at the end of the fruit resembles a cobra. Valued for its multiple uses: as an interior decoration element, for the production of dishes and containers. Woody fruits collected in autumn retain their decorative value until late spring.
Prefers a well-drained moist good rich soil. Requires plenty of moisture in the growing season.

GERMINATION INSTRUCTIONS
Soaking the seeds for 12 hours in warm water prior to sowing can hasten germination
Sow spring in a greenhouse in a rich soil, putting 2 - 3 seeds in a pot and thinning to the strongest plant.
Grow on fast and plant out as soon as possible after the last expected frosts, giving some protection until the plants are established and growing well.
The seed germinates best at +25C.
