Perfect in cottage gardens!
Perennial plant up to 40-50 cm tall, compact habit formed at the ends of shoots creates masses of full flowers with petals in burgundy-red color with lighter edges.
Blooms from early spring to mid-summer.
Great for growing in containers, naturalistic gardens and edging.
Performing best in dappled sun to partial shade, Aquilegia prefers evenly moist, nutrient-rich soil with good drainage. It will readily cross-pollinate with other columbine and self-sow if allowed to go to seed, which is considered an advantage by some gardeners. However, faded flowers should be removed promptly if new plants are not desired. An ideal choice for woodland plantings and mixed borders, its unique blooms also make outstanding, long-lasting cut flowers.
Approximately 50 seeds in 0.1g packet.
