It is a very easy to grow, half-hardy annual native to Texas.
Very attractive annual flower with fine, feathery foliage and blooms with distinctive flowers that have chocolate-scented reddish-brown centers with yellow outlines from July to September. Attracts bees and butterflies.
It is an excellent border plant, popular in mixed flower gardens and compositions, containers. Cut flower.
Grows best in full sun and moderately fertile, well drained soil.

GERMINATION INSTRUCTIONS
Sow indoors from February to April 3-5 mm deep, in pots or trays of moist seed compost. Also can be sown outside in May or immediately after the last frosts.
