Scarlet Flax (Linum Grandiflorum Rubrum) 150 seeds (#2175)

Very attractive annual plant with its glowingly red flowers of up to 2 cm in diameter.
Excellent in mixed plantings, especially in displays with yellow summer flowers.
The individual flower is only short-flowering but numerous flowers grow again to form an abundance of flowers over several months.
Grows well in normal garden soil. Adaptable, but prefers warm, not too moist locations.
Cut back about half of the flowering stems in early summer to extend the blooming period. Grow in any well-drained soil with a pH range of 5.0 to 7.0 and avoid fertilizer and manure. Rich soil reduces blooming.
Linum dislikes root disturbance, so it is not suitable for transplanting - it's better to simply sow more seeds.
Linum is harmful if eaten.
