Limonium suworowii, sometimes called pink pokers or rat tail statice, features pink flowers (from July - to October). It will grow to reach an average mature height of 60 cm and a width of 45 cm.
This is a very unique variety of statice widely used by florists in arrangements as a basic everlasting.
Half - hardy annual. Pencil like thin bright pink flower spikes make a beautiful addition to annual and perennial flower gardens.
Easy to grow and perfect for seaside locations and low-maintenance borders.
Sites with full sun and very well-drained, modestly fertile soil are the best for statice. Plant it in masses in cutting gardens for a plentiful harvest of blooms for crafts and arrangements. When mature, cut the stems, bundle and hang them upside down in a cool dry place. This will help them retain their upright form and color. Continued sun exposure will cause the flower colors to eventually fade.

GERMINATION INSTRUCTIONS
The planting period depends on which area to plants. In Western Europe, it is common to plant from December through to April, whereby specially the December planting generates flowering for early spring, when flower prices usually are higher.
In the Mediterranean area, it is recommended to plant in fall thus benefitting a good winter yield. In countries around the equator, year-round planting is possible.
Sow seeds outdoors where desired after frost danger has passed or, preferably, indoors 8 to 10 weeks before the last spring frost.
Sow on the moist surface, tamp it and cover with plastic or glass. Keep in light (no direct sunlight) position.
Germination temperature: +16-+20C
Germinates in 21-30 days.
