Sunflower (Helianthus Annuus Bambino) 30 seeds (#1533)

Annual flower. Grows up to 40 cm tall. This variety can be easily grown in pots or containers.
Yellow with dark centers flowers are 20 cm in diameter. Good for cutting.
Grow sunflowers in full sun and average soil with good drainage. It is best to directly sow the seeds in the ground in the late spring. After flowering and setting seed, these short-lived annuals will die. If you desire continuous summer sunflowers, plant seeds every two weeks in succession from mid-spring to early summer. These outstanding annuals make superb additions to cutting garden or vegetable plots.

GERMINATION INSTRUCTIONS
Sow 2 seeds per sowing in early spring (after frosts) to early summer outdoors in permanent location 12mm deep in rows 30cm apart. Keep moist. Can be sown inside in pots, but can be transplanted only in early stages.
Germination usually takes around 21 days.
When large enough to handle, thin out the seedlings to 30cm apart.
They prefer a sunny open site but will grow in most soils.
Sowing can also be done indoors in early spring, sow the seed individually in 7.5cm pots.
Germination takes 1-2 weeks at +20C.
Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost has gone.
