These large (10 cm) brilliant yellow flowers on three foot tall plants make for quite a show!
They will bloom through a long, hot summer without wilting. They are excellent for large pots.
Plants are susceptible to mildew in humid climates.
Zinnias like to be well watered especially when young. But do not like waterlogged soil. As a rule of thumb, plants like about 2-3 cm of water per week.

GERMINATION INSTRUCTIONS
Sow in pots or trays of moist seed compost and cover with a very fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or warm place, and keep at a constant temperature of between +20-+25C.
After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination will usually take 10-21 days.Can also be sown once the soil has warmed, 3 mm deep in drills 30cm apart in well-cultivated soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. When large enough to handle, thin out seedlings to 23 cm apart.
When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 7-8 cm pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost, 23-30 cm apart.
